News Details

On the afternoon of July 20, the Party branch organized a study of the text "Ensure the Party Always Remains the Strong Leadership Core of the Cause of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" (November 17, 2012). The session focused on statements regarding the firming of ideals and convictions and the upholding of the spiritual pursuits of Communists, clarifying that these constitute the fundamental foundation for a Communist's existence and purpose.

Regarding "The Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation Embodies the Principle of the Party Supervising and Governing Itself with Rigor; It Serves as an Entry Point and a Call to Action" (December 4, 2012; January 22, 2013): Participants gained a deep understanding that the Eight-Point Regulation represents the first step toward improving conduct and must be advanced with unwavering determination—akin to "leaving footprints on stone and marks on iron."

Regarding "Strictly Enforce Political Discipline and Consciously Safeguard the Party’s Unity and Solidarity" (January 22, 2013): It was established that political discipline is the most important, fundamental, and critical form of discipline, and that adherence to political discipline serves as the basis for observing all other forms of discipline.

Records of Discussion and Remarks

1. Remarks by Comrade Xu Weiping:

“Today’s study of the text *Ensuring the Party Always Remains the Strong Core of Leadership for the Cause of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics* and the content regarding the Central Committee’s ‘Eight-point Regulation’ has deeply resonated with me. The General Secretary emphasized that firm ideals and convictions are the foundation of a Communist’s existence and purpose. As a Party member, I deeply realize that faith is not merely a slogan to be voiced, but something that must be put into practice in our daily actions.
At the same time, the Central Committee’s ‘Eight-point Regulation’ constitutes a set of ironclad rules that remain effective in the long term. Improving our conduct is an ongoing process; we must not harbor any thoughts of ‘taking a break’ or ‘letting our guard down.’ In my future work, I will constantly measure myself against the spirit of the ‘Eight-point Regulation,’ starting with small matters and focusing on details. I will resolutely resist the ‘Four Winds’ (formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism, and extravagance), earnestly improve my work style, and serve the public—as well as perform my duties—with a more pragmatic attitude.”

2. Remarks by Comrade Shen Hongbo:

“I would like to focus on my takeaways from studying the text *Strictly Enforcing Political Discipline and Consciously Safeguarding the Party’s Unity and Solidarity*. The text points out that political discipline is the most important, fundamental, and critical form of discipline. This has given me a clearer understanding that the core of observing the Party’s political discipline lies in upholding the Party’s leadership and maintaining a high degree of alignment with the Party Central Committee.
In our practical work, we must prioritize political awareness, strengthen the ‘Four Consciousnesses,’ reinforce the ‘Four-fold Confidence,’ and ensure the ‘Two Upholds.’ We must not only maintain a firm stance on major issues of right and wrong but also strictly observe discipline and rules in our daily words and deeds, consciously safeguard the Party’s unity and solidarity, and remain politically clear-headed and honest.”
