With the arrival of sustained high-temperature summer weather, the operational safety of frontline staff faces a severe test. To effectively safeguard the physical and mental health and operational safety of employees, and to properly prevent and handle heatstroke emergencies, our unit recently organized a specialized training session on "Heatstroke Prevention Knowledge." Closely aligned with the realities of summer workplace safety, the training provided frontline staff with practical, professional guidance—a form of "cooling protection"—through systematic instruction.

The training content was comprehensive and highly targeted, centering on four core modules. In the session titled "Impact of High Temperatures on Human Health," the instructor—considering the hot and humid weather conditions of summer—explained in accessible terms the strain and risks that high-temperature environments impose on the body's thermoregulation, water-salt metabolism, and cardiovascular system. Employees were reminded to remain highly vigilant regarding physical signs of discomfort during periods of sustained heat.

To mitigate the risks of high-temperature work at the source, the training offered scientific guidance on operational measures. Tailoring advice to specific job roles, the instructor emphasized the importance of "staggered scheduling" to avoid working during the hottest part of the day (noon). Detailed instructions were provided on daily protective practices, such as scientific hydration (drinking diluted salt water or electrolyte beverages in small, frequent amounts), wearing breathable, light-colored, sun-protective clothing, ensuring adequate sleep, and maintaining a light diet. Common misconceptions—such as gulping down ice water or ignoring physical fatigue—were corrected, guiding employees to cultivate good self-protection habits.

The atmosphere reached a peak during the practical demonstration session on "Heatstroke First Aid." The instructor systematically demonstrated standard emergency procedures: upon identifying a heatstroke victim, one should quickly move them to a cool, well-ventilated area and lay them flat, loosening their collar to accelerate heat dissipation; apply physical cooling by wiping areas with major blood vessels—such as the forehead, neck, armpits, and groin—with cold water; and, provided the patient is conscious, administer cool, salted beverages in small, frequent amounts. Furthermore, the instructor emphasized critical "don'ts" during first aid—such as strictly prohibiting the forced feeding of water to unconscious individuals, avoiding the practice of "sweating it out" under heavy coverings, and refraining from forcibly pinching the philtrum—to ensure that everyone can administer scientifically sound aid and avoid making the situation worse during emergencies.

This training on heatstroke prevention was practical and highly effective; participating employees listened attentively and engaged actively. They not only gained a systematic understanding of essential knowledge regarding heat protection and first aid but also enhanced their safety awareness and their ability to perform self-rescue and mutual aid in the event of sudden heatstroke. Moving forward, the organization will continue to monitor weather alerts, strictly implement heat protection and cooling measures, schedule work hours reasonably, and ensure an adequate supply of heat-relief materials. We are fully committed to fortifying our defenses for safe summer operations and safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
