2026 National Day Holiday Schedule
News Details
The company will observe the China National Day holiday 2026 from October 1 to October 7, with normal operations resuming on October 8 (Thursday). The break runs for seven days in total, and it is the China Golden Week 2026 window in the autumn production calendar.
The China factory holiday schedule follows the national calendar. October 1 (Thursday), October 2 (Friday), and October 3 (Saturday) are the statutory National Day public holidays. October 4 (Sunday) falls on a weekend. To build a longer break, two rest days move into the holiday, so October 6 (Tuesday) and October 7 (Wednesday) become rest days as well.
Because of that adjustment, two days become normal working days. Sunday, September 20, 2026 and Saturday, October 10, 2026 are regular working days for the factory. You should plan any sample review or approval around those two dates.
The Technical Department and the International Trade Department are to make their own scheduling arrangements within the same window.
To ensure the smooth conduct of operations during the holiday, the following personnel have been assigned to duty (08:30–17:30).

What the China National Day Holiday 2026 Means for Your Order
A seven-day break is longer than a weekend, and it sits inside a peak season. For many buyers, the China National Day holiday 2026 is the last long pause before the year-end rush. As a result, you should plan around three effects.
Production pauses for seven days. However, no cutting, sewing, or finishing runs between October 1 and October 7. A bulk order that would have shipped in early October now ships about one week later. You must add that week to your own launch calendar.
Fabric mills and trim suppliers close too. A Chinese factory closure in October 2026 reaches upstream, so a fabric lot that runs short on September 30 cannot be topped up until October 8. Moreover, the mills run at full load before the break, so late bookings wait longer. Book your fabric slot early, and confirm the dye lot before September 30.
Freight and customs slow down during China Golden Week 2026. Trucks, warehouses, and customs desks all work at reduced capacity during the holiday. Book the container before the break, and confirm the cut-off date with your forwarder. A container that misses the pre-holiday cut-off waits until October 8.
If you have an order in production now, our team will confirm its stage and its revised ship date before the break starts. If you plan a new order, send the brief early, so the sampling work lands before the holiday rather than after it.
How We Stay Reachable During the Holiday
In practice, the factory pauses, but the desk does not disappear. A duty team covers every day of the break from 08:30 to 17:30, and each day has one named person on site.
You can still reach us for an order status, a shipping document, or an urgent question. Send us a message and the duty staff will pick it up on the same day. For anything that needs the production floor, we will answer with a confirmed date rather than a guess.
If you want to plan around the break, our guide to oem clothing explains how a holiday window fits into a full production calendar. Our notes on private label clothing manufacturing cover the sampling rounds that should close before a long break.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does the factory reopen after the China National Day holiday 2026? Normal operations resume on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The break runs for seven days from October 1 to October 7.
Are any days working days during the holiday window? Yes. Sunday, September 20, 2026, and Saturday, October 10, 2026, are normal working days under the national adjustment. Use those dates for sample approvals and order confirmations.
Will my shipment be delayed? A bulk order that was set to ship in the first week of October moves by about one week. Our team will confirm the revised date for each order before the break starts.
Can I still place an order during the holiday? Yes. Send the brief at any time, and the duty team will pick it up. The factory schedules the fabric booking and the sampling once operations resume on October 8.
Final Thoughts
The China National Day holiday 2026 runs from October 1 to October 7, and normal operations resume on October 8. Two adjusted working days, September 20 and October 10, sit outside the break.
Plan the calendar around those dates, and confirm the fabric and the container before September 30. What is more, that habit turns a long break into a one-week pause instead of a lost season. Our range keeps moving on both sides of the break, from knitted sportswear to women's casual suit sets and driver work shirts.
