Solidifying Primary Responsibility and Fortifying Occupational Health Safeguards
[Suzhou · Wuzhong] To further strengthen occupational health efforts across the district, effectively address weaknesses in enterprise occupational health management, solidify the primary responsibility of various enterprises for occupational disease prevention and control, and protect workers' occupational health rights, Wuzhong District recently held the third 2026 training session for enterprise heads and administrators responsible for occupational health. This training aimed to ensure the successful completion of key tasks, such as expanding the scope of occupational health declarations, preparing for "double-random" inspections, and verifying potential risks associated with suspected occupational diseases.

Ensuring Compliance and Strengthening Responsibility
The training was organized in strict accordance with laws and regulations, including the *Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases*, the *Regulations of Jiangsu Province on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases*, and the *Provisions on the Administration of Occupational Health in the Workplace*. Relevant regulations mandate that the principal heads and occupational health administrators of employing units undergo occupational health training; this is both a statutory obligation for enterprises and a crucial foundation for safeguarding workers' occupational health.

Targeted Measures to Enhance Management Efficiency
The training focused on key priorities in occupational health regulation, covering the following areas:
Advancing the expansion of declaration coverage: Guiding enterprises to properly declare occupational disease hazards and ensure comprehensive reporting;
Preparing for "double-random" inspections: Helping enterprises understand inspection standards and improve their occupational health management records;
Verifying risks of suspected occupational diseases: Strengthening hazard identification capabilities and implementing requirements for early detection, reporting, and handling.
Participants received systematic instruction on professional topics, including the identification and prevention of occupational disease hazards, occupational health surveillance management, the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency response to occupational disease hazard incidents.

Driving Improvement Through Training to Safeguard Worker Health
The meeting emphasized that all employing units must firmly uphold the philosophy of "putting people first and prioritizing health," earnestly fulfill their primary responsibilities for occupational disease prevention and control, and integrate occupational health management into their daily operations. Through this training, enterprise heads and administrators gained a clearer understanding of their duties and improved their occupational health management capabilities, laying a solid foundation for building harmonious labor relations and promoting sustainable enterprise development. Wuzhong District will continue to advance occupational health training by expanding its reach and innovating training methods, ensuring the effective implementation of occupational health laws and regulations, fully safeguarding the occupational health rights and interests of the workforce, and underpinning the district's high-quality economic and social development.
